Porky Piglet's Games for Elementary Physical Education
TYPE:                             Pursuit & Evade
CYCLE:                          III
ACTIVITY LEVEL:          High

TACTICS:                       Moving in open space, avoiding others, teamwork
QEP:                              Competency II: cooperation-opposition, using available space, encircling opponent

OBJECTIVE
To avoid being tagged by the team with the ball

EQUIPMENT
Open space, cones to set boundaries, pinnies, soft playground balls

DIRECTIONS
- Select 3 taggers to wear pinnies. Their objective is to get other players to join their team by tagging them with their team ball.
- Players can only pivot with the ball
- If tagged, players must exit the playa area, put on a pinnie, and return as a member of the tagging team.
- The game ends when all the players have been tagged, or time is up.
- As players get used to the game add more soft balls for more tagging opportunities.
- Make sure to choose new taggers for the next round (suggested to have the final 3 players that didn’t get tagged in the previous round start as taggers for the next).

MODIFICATIONS
- Narrow the play area: smaller teams in each badminton court instead of only 2 teams in basketball court
- Have more than one team in the same play area. Ex: blue VS red; blue pinnies work with the blue ball trying to convert red people to their team, etc. The team with the most players after 3 minutes wins.
-  Allow only girls to tag with a certain coloured ball, and same for the boys

SAFETY CUES
-Tag appropriately
- Keep head up
- Only tag players, don’t throw the ball at them
