OBJECTIVE
To score a point by passing to a teammate standing in one of your hoops.
EQUIPMENT
soft playground balls, cones, pinnies
DIRECTIONS
- Divide class into 6 teams, and designate 2 differently coloured teams to each badminton court.
- To score a point, one member of the team must make a pass to the player who moves into one of 3 hoops in the end zone (each team scores at a different end).
- Players can only pivot, no moving with the ball, and must pass to someone else on their team within 3 seconds of having the ball.
- A minimum of 5 passes must be made before a pass can be made to the person in the hoop.
MODIFICATIONS
- Increase or decrease number of passes needed before scoring a point
- Allow one-bounce passes
- Use differently sized and weighted ball (Omnikin, basketball, beach ball, tennis ball, etc.)
SAFETY CUES
- Keep head up
- Use warm defence
